Biography
​Throughout the 1830s, Charles A. Grignon worked at a trading post in Kaukauna (Wisconsin). He fought in the Black Hawk War in 1833. In 1836, he and his father, Augustine, secured $16,000 from a Menominee treaty. Grignon became a government interpreter and was the treasurer of Outgamie County.
